To celebrate our 3-year Anniversary in Dallas and bring our customers more of what they have been looking for, join Needless Necessities for an evening of food, flowers and gifts. Be sure to browse through our hard-to-find, unique home accessories and gifts (candles, decoratives, jewelry, etc.), as well.
20% of all sales made during the anniversary party will be used to purchase lamps for The Dallas Furniture Bank.
Reading lamps are of great importance to families in need, improving the health status and study opportunities for children while providing a safe, lit environment for both work and play. Research has shown that there is a significant effect of poor lighting on children’s ability to learn, leading to decreased productivity, fatigue, confusion, eyestrain, irritability, depression and even hyperactivity in some sensitive children.
Dallas Furniture Bank, a member of the National Furniture Bank Association, is a nonprofit agency that collects and stores gently used, basic household furniture through donations from the furniture industry, businesses, hotels, motels, and individuals from the community. DFB helps between 300 and 400 needy families a year (at least 1200 individuals) regain their dignity and independence. With every table, lamp, chair and bed delivered, DFB is helping rebuild the disrupted, often tattered lives of the transitional homeless and others who have lost everything. DFB is the only agency in Dallas County whose mission is to provide basic household furnishings to people in need.
Complimentary valet will be available at Hibsicus Restaurant, across the street from Needless Necessities. For more information and to RSVP for this event, please call (214) 824-0700 or email. See you there!

draped in blooming flowers. "This house has a very
traditional feel, so we wanted to keep that theme in
our back yard," says homeowner Sam Stidham.
One look at the back yard, and it's clear he hit the mark. The space looks like something out of "The Great Gasby"; timeless, not trendy. The landscape is modeled after a classic English-style garden, complete with panels of lattice fencing, iron awnings and natural stone paths. Follow one garden path, and it leads you to a cozy dining nook. Follow another, and it leads you to a shaded sitting area. [read the full article]

the furniture at Needless Necessities is timeless and traditional
- you'll find clubby wing-backs, chaises lounges and overstuffed
armchairs - some of the fabric patterns are pretty wild,
like the one with huge chandeliers on it or the bright-red
